Multimedia Advertising Sales

Lotus Media Group in Roseburg, OR is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Marketing/Sales Consultant in Roseburg, who will meet or exceed revenue goals by designing creative client campaigns that drive desired business results. We are looking for someone who can connect with clients and help them achieve their business objectives through our robust multi-media platform.

In this position, you will:

Generate revenue and meet monthly revenue goals for print, radio and web (digital) advertising products through effective outside sales techniques

Must be self-motivated and self-directed, able to work independently to reach established company benchmarks

Develop new business and create results for clients through creative and effective targeted campaigns

Research and build campaign solutions, including overall branding and creative and ensure campaign execution meets client expectation

Establish trusting relationships with clients, community and colleagues

Turn in complete and accurate orders to production

Complete weekly call activity reports

Continually be aware of your sales status to goals

Build and adhere to annual and quarterly sales projections

Support collection of receivables

Build and enhance sales skills, to include effective story-telling, prospecting and relationship-building, negotiation, closing

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

Passion for sales

Effective relationship building, customer service, communication and negotiation skills

Superior business acumen related to new media, digital interactive initiatives and social media required

Media sales experience preferred and an excellent understanding of broadcast, print, and web advertising marketplace, and key competition

Ability to effectively communicate, build rapport and relate well to all kinds of people

Professional appearance a must

Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record

Sports Editor
 
The News-Register, an award-winning twice-weekly community newspaper in McMinnville, Oregon, seeks a sports editor to cover athletics of six local high schools as well as Linfield College.

The full-time position entails producing a quality sports section in twice a week, featuring both game coverage and features that tell the story behind the box score. The editor is in charge of both writing and page layout, and works with staff photographers on assignments and art selection. He or she occasionally works with the news team when a story or issue warrants cross-departmental cooperation.

The ideal applicant is a self-motivated individual with strong journalism instinct, crisp and accurate reporting and the ability to develop relationships with area coaches to facilitate the flow of information to the newspaper. 

The News-Register and its parent company, Oregon Lithograph Inc. are a family-owned enterprise serving the news and publishing needs of residents of Yamhill County, a burgeoning visitor destination with a strong agricultural base, and where McMinnville is county seat.
